John Bishop of Baird, Cotter and Bishop presented the club with the annual report showing that the Cadillac Rotary Club gifted more than $100,000 to the community during the fiscal year ending June 30. These donations were made from two separate areas:
1. General budget. The club's charitable donations from the general budget included $28,000 to install American flags on the Cadillac West Causeway and $32,000 to help fund improvements at The Wex. Those donations were the result of club fundraisers including the Annual Auction and Stride for Strive Memorial Day race. The club also donated $5,000 for cultural arts programs and $2,800 for youth exchange programs.
2. Foundation. The club's endowed fund -- a fund that has grown to more than $1.7 million thanks to multiple donations over the years -- donated $55,000 to various entities including $10,000 for Cadillac Area Public Schools Forest View Play Equipment, $9,000 for the Cadillac Area Public Schools weight room, $10,000 for Wexford County Historical Museum roof repairs, $9,500 to the Single Track Sisters Fat Bike group, $6,500 for scholarships for graduating senior, $3,500 for Silent Observer, and $2,500 for the CACF Imagination Library.
