She reported that they are working to get the dorm rooms on Harris Street ready for the Fall term.  The facility will house 32 students with fully furnished rooms.  So far they have 15 paid applicants.  The students have to be between the ages of 17-24 yrs of age.  They will have co-ed per floor, not co-ed within the rooms.  They will hire a Residents coordinator that will be housed on the ground floor . There are also laundry rooms on each floor that are free to the students.

Baker College is also doing a 13^th year program where a student can literally graduate from high school and by taking college courses also can then graduate with an Associate’s degree and this program is FREE to the students and the parents. The goal is to make college more affordable to all, to encourage first generation and low socio-economic students to get training beyond high school.  If you would like more information about this program or any other programs offered by Baker College please contact the Admissions office or general office at Baker College.
