Cadillac Rotary Club Hosts

2011 Rotary District 6290 Conference

The annual Rotary District 6290 Conference was held in Cadillac from May 12th - May 14th.    Rotarians from around the district gathered to share information on the events of the past year and to learn about the future changes for Rotary.

Over 120 Rotarians enjoyed sharing information about their local Rotary clubs and learning from other members.   Information was presented from the Fifth Avenue of Service - New Generations, Technology, World Communithy Service, Peace Scholars and the Clean Water Initiative.

Friday's luncheon included keynote speaker, Father Joe Fix who share with Rotarians a message about learning to listen so we would be better able to serve those in need.    At the Friday night awards banquet, President Tim Knaggs presented Presidential Citations to club who met selected goals.    Motivational Speaker, Richard Paul, had the audience literally laughing in the aisles with his "Lighten up and Live" program.

Thanks to all who attended and we look forward to next year's conference on May 18th thru May 20th in Dearborn.
