With a full house today, we are celebrating Veterans Day. We invited four of our Veterans friends to hear what our two winners of the "What does Veterans Day mean to you" contest. Charlotte Hillard & Eliza Ouwinga read their essays; they also received a certificate and $50 each. What a great day!
Rotary Foundation granted $20,000 to Love Inc. for renovations to make a pantry in their pole barn. This is about moving all the area church pantries to one place so their clients do not have to go to several places at different times and days. Boots, coats, diapers, cleaning supplies, etc., it will be all in one place only makes sense. The original request to Rotary was $42,000; with the idea being such a good concept, the Cadillac Area Community Foundation Trustees granted $20,000 to help make this project happen.
