SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

Each year the Rotary Club of Cadillac awards scholarships to graduating Cadillac High School seniors who exhibit high standards of excellence beyond an outstanding grade point average. The total amount of funds available for this scholarship program is determined each year by the governing board of the Rotary Club of Cadillac, and the scholarship committee for the Rotary Club of Cadillac then determines the amount of each scholarship and the number of scholarships to be awarded, based on the total amount of funds available. Typically, the scholarships are awarded in the spring of each year. For 2024, the total amount of scholarship funds available to be awarded is $5,000. Last year, we awarded five (5) $1,000 Scholarships. The attached Scholarship Application Form must be completed by each qualified applicant and returned by the due date.
SCHOLARSHIP ELIGIBILITY:
- A graduating senior from Cadillac High School.
- Planning to attend and have been accepted into an accredited post-secondary educational institution.
- Displays community service.
SELECTION CRITERIA:
- Demonstrated accomplishments in such areas as unique talents (music, art, public speaking, athletics, etc.), school or community leadership (e.g. class officer, captain of a team, church, social services volunteer, etc.), and challenges of obstacles faced and overcome (e.g. family or personal difficulties, such as an injury, divorce, etc.). Each applicant should attach a coherent, well-organized essay.
DUE DATES:
>High school counselors will be notified of these scholarships in March or before each year.
>Scholarship Applications are due by April 10, 2024.
>Scholarship Selection Committee will make selections by May 1, 2024.
>High school counselors and applicants will be notified before the end of May.
>Presentation of scholarships will be scheduled at a Rotary Lunch Meeting in May or June.
