Memorial Day - Monday, May 29, 2017
This event is one of the premier races in Michigan and will provide our runners with scenic views as you finish the race along the shores of beautiful Lake Cadillac. The sponsors for this year's Stride for S.T.R.I.V.E. race are: Dynamic Physical Therapy, Fekete-Knaggs-Burr, Dental Health Professionals, Baker College of Cadillac, Avon Automotive, Mercantile Bank, Munson Healthcare-Cadillac Hospital, Pine Grove Athletic Club, Don's Auto Clinic, Farm Bureau Insurance/Chris Courtright, Cadillac News, RexAir, Cadillac Area Public Schools, and Attorney Edward VanAlst.
Race Starts: 8:30 am at the Veterans Memorial Stadium at The Cadillac High School

- $2,000 in camperships at Camp Torenta through the YMCA;
- $164.74 to the Cadillac High School Interact Club for the purchase of Flamingos for a fundraiser;
- $500.00 to the Cadillac High School Band to assist in payment of a presentation and workshop by the Lowdown Brass Band; and
- Up to $200.00 to assist in the startup of a new book project.

"Go West - To Camp Torenta" will be the theme for this years's auction. The auction will be held on April 30th starting at 6 p.m. at the Wexford Civic Arena incorporating a Western Theme. A portion of the proceeds from the auction will help complete the renovations to the Activities Center at Camp Torenta.

The Cadillac Rotary Club is currently seeking another major project to help finance. Organized groups in the county are asked to submit project partnership proposals that, when completed, will help make the community a better place to live, benefit a large cross section of Cadillac area residents, and serve as a lasting contribution to future generations living in the Cadillac area.

at June 4th Rotary Meeting
The 2011-2012 Stride Program sponsored by Cadillac Rotary recently presented three students with awards for their commitment and dedication toward improving their grades. The first place award was presented to Danielle Foreman, second place to Maycie Hoadley and third place to Kayla Richards. The three winners are pictured with their advisors, Steve Osborn and Jon Caitlin. Winners were selected based upon a point scoring system where points were earned for: grade point average increase, meeting attendance and participation, and community service. The scholarship money is to be used to help with college/trade school expenses.
