Group Study Exchange, 2009

On Tuesday, May 26th, 5 Brazilian Group Study Exchange members arrived in Cadillac to spend 5 days learning about the Greater Cadillac Area.
Hosting the team were the Davy's, the Wolf's, the McCurdys, the Knaggs
and the MacLeods. The GSE members toured the Carl T. Johnson Center
where Ranger Rick assisted them in firing guns at a simulated
target. On Wednesday May 27th, Kathy and Dave McCurdy hosted a
potluck dinner for all Rotarians to meet the GSE team. Rotarians
attending viewed a presentation by the team about their home land and
also participated in dancing the "furall". On Friday, May 29th, Sue
and Mike Peterson hosted a hot dog roast and bonfire at their home.
The GSE Team enjoyed their time at the bonfire. On Saturday, May 30th
the team hiked part of the North Country Trail followed by a canoe trip
down the Manistee River. The Rotarians that met with the GSE
team enjoyed the time spent with the Brazilian team.
