Emily Hearth Speaks to Rotarians

At the August 6, 2013 Cadillac Rotary Club meeting, Emily Hearth presented a slideshow presentation of her year in Denmark as a Rotary Exchange Student. The year abroad helped Emily to mature and learn more about the culture in Denmark. While she learned to understand the language she found it difficult to speak.

She played on a soccer team at her "gymnasium" (high school) and also played with a soccer club team while she was there. In her school there were 800 students and there were 30 people in a class, they stayed in the same class all year. This she found very different. She also said she was not pushed by her instructors and hopes she has not fallen behind when she returns to Cadillac High School this fall.

She was also able to take a Euro tour to Germany, France, Venice, Croatia, Checzh Republic. She also took a trip to London for Christmas with her host brothers. Overall she enjoyed her year abroad and is happy to be home. Emily presented the Cadillac Rotary Club with the flag of her host club in Denmark.

Welcome home, Emily.
