19TH ANNUAL STRIDE FOR S.T.R.I.V.E.

 

The Cadillac Rotary Club will host its 19^th Annual STRIDE FOR S.T.R.I.V.E. 5k Race on Memorial Day, May 29, hosting over 1,000 athletes.  S.T.R.I.V.E. 5k participants and student participants run or walk the course from the Cadillac Senior High School football field toward Kenwood Park and back along the shoreline of beautiful Lake Cadillac to the finish line back at the football field.  Through collaborative efforts by Cadillac Rotarians and other key community members, this event is successfully run each year. 

 

STRIDE for S.T.R.I.V.E. was originally developed by Rotary District 6600 in Minnesota to support S.T.R.I.V.E. scholarships.  S.T.R.I.V.E. is an acronym for: “Students Taking a Renewed Interest in the Value of Education”.  It is a high school student mentoring program that provides support to local students who struggle.  These students regularly succeed in their educational goals due to their participation in S.T.R.I.V.E.
